Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. Stories of young love and heartbreak have earned her wide acclaim throughout the 21st century. Swift began to show an interest in music from a young age, and quickly moved through roles in the children's theater to her debut performance in front of a crowd of thousands. At the age of 11, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and that same year she picked up the guitar, and began writing songs. Swift wrote original songs that was inspired by the country performers such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks), and Dixie Chicks. Her material was a result of her own experience as young and a teenager. As a teenager, Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania for a move to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time interacting with country artists within the vicinity of Nashville.
